Rainbow Tick

We are thrilled to announce that we have received our Rainbow Tick accreditation!

Our CEO, Caroline Mulcahy, has the following words to share regarding this great achievement:

"I am incredibly excited to share that Sexual Health Victoria has officially received Rainbow Tick Accreditation! This recognition acknowledges our deep commitment to creating an inclusive, safe and affirming space for LGBTIQA+ communities.

Throughout the audit process, the assessors were overwhelmingly impressed with the way we have embedded inclusion in everything we do. They commended our organisation and staff’s expertise, commitment to best practices, and dedication to fostering cultural safety and intersectional inclusivity. Their feedback highlighted our outstanding work in education, clinical care, social media engagement and frontline support — all of which reflect the passion and dedication of our incredible team.

Achieving this milestone is a testament to the collective effort of our staff, stakeholders and community partners. We remain committed to continuous improvement and will strive to lead the way in LGBTIQA+ inclusion and healthcare.

For now, we take a moment to celebrate this tremendous achievement. I am incredibly proud to be part of the Sexual Health Victoria team!"

LGBTIQA+ Inclusive Language Guide

The way we communicate within our community is imperative to building a more inclusive society. We need to ensure that every person feels seen, valued, and supported. A way to do this is by using language that is respectful, accurate and relevant to all. This includes the way we communicate with others, but also how we communicate about them.
